Challenge
Manson Anchors and Bowmaster were approached by the luxury yacht management firm Edmiston at an International Yacht Show. Edmiston managed M/Y Moonlight II which was currently under refit in Marseille and they were looking for a quality anchor solution.
The Manson Anchors and Bowmaster team were asked to provide designs to the refit management team for two 1440kg Kedge Anchors and swivels. These designs were quickly approved, and the Manson team were given the go-ahead to begin fabrication.
Solution
The Manson Anchors team fabricated the two Kedge Anchors from 316L stainless steel at their Lloyd’s Register approved factory.
The Manson Kedge Anchors and swivels were delivered to M/Y Moonlight II in Marseille for refit.
The Captain, refit management and Edmiston were delighted with the results.
Manson Kedge anchors are Lloyd’s Register Type Approval as HHP (High Holding Power).
