Manson Anchors trusted by Captain Ted McCumber
Challenge
The Manson team were approached regarding M/Y Atessa IV refit by industry renowned Captain Ted McCumber. Captain McCumber had Manson Anchors on his previous vessels and spoke highly of them to the owners of M/Y Atessa IV.
The vessel featured an underwater stern system and the anchor needed replacing at the time of refit.
The wetbox was already in the hull so the anchor needed to fit perfectly in order to sit flush against the hull.
Solution
The Manson Anchors design engineers designed a custom hiding anchor with a custom base to match the hull perfectly.
The hiding anchor was developed to be both a flush fitting pocket anchor and also a specifically designed under hull submarine anchor. This means it is designed to be deployed via a wetbox from the base of the hull for the clean look on the hull.
The hiding anchor is Lloyd’s Register Type Approved as High Holding Power (HHP), this was essential to Captain McCumber and M/Y Atessa IV.
